Welcome to my BARCELONA STAYCATION

So why staycation?

• I came to Barcelona as an exchange student more than 40 years ago and decided to stay.
• Culturally Barcelona has so much to offer in terms of art, architecture, music, dance, theater...
• There is so much about this city that I still don't know, so many places I have not yet visited.

• I want to explore the city I now call home with the same sense of wonder as I explore unknown places when i go on vacation.
• I want to keep track of the places I go and the things I do so it does not feel like the years go by and I have nothing to show for it.
• I want to share my love of the city and my reflections on my experiences here with others.
• I want to find an activity that will keep me socially engaged when I decide to retire.

I love to make connections between things, so the wiki format perfectly mirrors the way my mind works. It also means that I may very well digress from time to time. And what I choose to mention and what I choose to leave out will be based solely on what I deem interesting or beautiful. This is not a guidebook. It is a travelog.
